i have come to conclude a list of my negative traits..

1. Worries too much.. - damn too much!!
2. When i'm at my lowest.. i get stuck there for long.. real long.. hard to pull myself up..
3. Thinks too much..
4. Tries to please everyone.. hence my indecisiveness
5. Too conscious of what people think..

alright.. i shall look on the brighter side now.. my positive traits..

hmm.. why not those of you who know me comment on it..
it's weird stating my positive traits on my own.. wanna find out how you guys think of me! :)

and oh yea.. advice me on how to stay positive too! lol..

Carven is going back to school..

blaa.. after ard 7wks of break.. tmr will be the day i once again drag myself outta bed early morning.. and head for school..
its actually kinda fast seeing how 2 years have passed.. so much had happened.. and i can hardly recollect every single moment of it.. however i must say.. a surprised me.. life has been colourful.. different.. and unexpected in some ways..

so.. tmr will be the beginning of my final year alrdy.. wow~~ :)

all i can hope for is that the FYP wont be as daunting as how i imagined it will be..
its gonna be a year long.. imagine that.. tsk tsk tsk..

oh well.. at least im going back to sch.. its fun.. better enjoy while i can.. look forward to see whats packed for me in the modules im gonna do..

Saturday-
early morning~ woke up..
went down to Cineleisure to K-Lunch with Josh, Glen, Melvyn and supposedly Shu.. who had withdrew from the plan..

went to Canele for dessert.. yum yum~
i had a Macaron Burger.. ahaha

moved on to Toys'R'Us in search for Kelvin's Wolverine Claws..
its his birthday today.. so wanna get him a gift.. he mentioned the claws.. so i checked it out..
in the end i thought it wld be more practical to get him some materials which he will need..
so i bought a sketch book, palatte and a box for him.. went over to his place.. and passed everything to him..
helped out a lil with his project..

left his place shortly with Xin Jian.. to meet Wei Xiang, Kevin & Keith for dinner..
ate at foodcourt.. bloody hell the mixed rice i ordered cost $5.20.. so ex!!!

they all went on to club.. while i go Carrefour to buy drink.. haha
Meet up with Emeric at The Cathay to watch Confessions of a Shopaholic..



its a feel good show.. rly enjoyed myself.. hehehe..
love the dancing scene.. rly hilarious.. ahaha..

After moobie.. Em brought me to Mr. Bean's Cafe - one of the longest place he's been patronising..
my first time there.. i like the settings.. very oldie..
nice and comfy..
we had a Seafood Soup and Mustard Fried Chicken Bites..
both are really delicious.. they have a lot of 'liao' in the soup.. lol generous.. :)
and the chicken is tender and juicy.. :)

after we got our tummy filled.. we headed home..

the past few days were rather interesting..
hmm..

Friday-
went down to sim lim sq with my usual sec sch buddies.. Yan Lin & Kai Zheng.. rest didnt come along..
sent my ext hdd for repair.. so sad.. all my stuffs will be lost.. arghh..
after that.. went to walk ard and had dinner..

the new mall in Bugis is opened alrdy.. Iluma..
we had a peek at it.. most shops arent occupied yet..
what's there so far are apparel shops, an arcade.. and a cineplex..

we stopped by at the arcade.. each of us spent $1 and had a go on the 'catch ice cream' machine..
we all failed to get either a Cornetto, Magnum or B&J's..
they have a nice 'roof access' at a corner.. well not too much of a view tho..

right now they are running some sort of promo at the Cineplex.. $6 tickets for all show.. all day.. :)
so any of you who are looking for some cheap wkend tix.. maybe u can go to that place..

well.. there's a shop called Forray.. sells men apparels.. i wld say i do like a few pieces..
not too bad.. heard they have another branch at Chinatown.. but anyways here's the webbie for u to check it out..

Just what have i been doing.. Part 3 - Moobies aka Movies

well.. caught a couple of shows this holidays.. and missed a couple of shows too..

first.. Marley & Me..
caught it with Mervyn Taki and Adrian..
a heart warming show.. funny and cute..
about a dog changing the lives of a family..
u never know when your life takes a turn.. you surprise yourself sometimes.. :)
so live it to the fullest.. that's abt the show..
weepy.. got my eyes watered towards the end.. haha..



next.. The Departures aka Okuribito..
caught it with emerican_life after the BBQ at Donovan's
about a guy who lost his job after the orchestra has been dissolved..
decided to move back to home town with wife.. found an attractive job on the papers..
was misled thinking its a job to do with a travel agency.. which actually turn out to be dealing with dead bodies..
preparing them for the undertaker..
i was mesmorized by the whole art of the ritual and the intricate details in it..
yet again.. another movie about life-changing.. really beautiful.. with enchanting soundtrack by Joe Hisaishi.. love it!
you guys shld catch it.. :)



lastly.. Gran Torino..
yet again.. caught this amazing production by Clint Eastwood with emerican_life .. ahahaha
about a racist old dude who survived the war in vietnam.. being the only american left in the neighbourhood..
his life takes a turnn after a Hmong attempted to steal his Gran Torino..
they became friends eventually and he learnt to live with peace.. becoming the hero of the neighbourhood..
also.. another life-changing kinda plot which is heartwarming as well..
has an original song written for the show by Clint Eastwood himself and Jamie Cullum titled "Gran Torino"..
thanks to the simple cinematics which invokes a very strong statement and feeling onto audiences.. the song carries a rather nostalgic feeling..
i'm impressed..



well.. i definitely enjoyed all the three films i've watched..
all heartwarming and got me tearing..
life lessons to learn.. great!! :)

Just what have i been doing.. Part 2 - Holidays


hmm.. i helped out in the HSBC Women's Golf Champion.. again..
was surprised some visitors actually remember me from last year..
so we chatted.. made friends with a few.. it was fun.. a 4-day event..

also volunteered for AfA's C.U.M as part of the organising committee member..
me a co-host with emerican_life .. he's great.. did most of the work.. ahaha.. let the 'lao jiao' settle.. =X
after the event.. went to do club outreach at Boulevard, Red Dot Museum..
end of the night.. tired but fun.. :)

went for BBQ at Donovan's aka Mr. Lo place too.. it was held for the AfA ppl.. thse who attended their focus groups..
and the regular volunteers.. :) didnt get to try the satay.. cos had a show to catch..
at first the weather was kinda bad.. drizzling non stop.. and poor Avin had a lil problem trying to get the fire up..
we played ard with Zippo.. haha.. it was fun playing with fire.. but u ought to be careful..

so yet another AfA gathering.. this time round its for thse who helped out at C.U.M..
we all had buffet dinner at Minori.. UE Square..
the place is nice.. serves ala carte buffet.. eat till u explode.. hahaha..
i must say it didnt rly fair as bad as the review i saw on hungrygowhere.. hmmm..

Just what have i been doing.. Part 1 - Job


it's been a long time since i blog..
always the same old on and off..

well just a recap.. am on my holidays currently..
finished my year 2 of the course.. going on to 3rd and final year in 20th April..
time really flies.. it was still awhile ago when i stepped into SP campus..
and now when i look back.. i've been traveling up and down from Tampines to Dover for that 2 years..
wow..

i'm pretty satisfied with this holiday i'm having..
nv though i would find a job that is well.. cushy.. and fun..
i managed to clinched a job with an arts dealer.. yea.. something i've done before..
basically just help out with my boss' side business.. he brings in reproductions of Vietnam oil paintings..
i basically work as his 'personal asst' who does everything.. from taking care of accounts to marketing.. to replying to clients' enquiries.. to designing cards for shows.. everything.. haha..
what's nice is i can work from home.. or go to his home office at Stevens Rd.. where i have a room/office to myself..
he has 3 cats.. few birds.. and fishies..
so if u go round the food chain.. its something like.. cats -> fishies <- birds <- cats
ahaha.. winner is the cat! oh well..
they keep him busy during the wkend.. they're either abandoned or unwanted.. so he brought them in and gave them shelter.. so nice eh?

well.. so far i'm loving this job.. its so different from the past of what i have done..
rly rly able to learn more stuff over here.. given rly alot of responsiblity and freedom cos i'm working for an ang-moh..
guess my hard work and effort put into volunteering for all sort of events and stuff in the past rly paid off this time round..
phew~

hope i can stay long on this.. :)
guess he and his partner are satisfied with my performance so far..
they put me onto managing one of their bigger projects currently.. blaaaa..

Back from paradise..

it's been a while..
but i'm here now..

haha.. oh well.. long long time nv blog liao..
anyways.. was sent to paradise and got back just not too long ago..

was asleep and awoken by a voice so so bright and clear.. :D

me and my classmates, the few of us..
finally went down to Dunearn Rd there for desserts at Island Creamery!!

hmm.. i got myself a Hot Fudge Sundae..
it comes with 2 scoops of Cookies & Cream n 2 scoops of Reverso ice cream..
topped with nuts, whipped cream and their home made Hot Fudge..
all for just $7.50.. i wld say its worth the price.. cheap!
since the price for a single scoop is alrdy $2.80.. haha..

ok.. so what's worth the try..
I'll recommend Burnt Caramel ice cream,  Mudpie..
forgotten the other two cakes' names.. haha..
if you want something different, they have flavours like Kahlua Latte, Potong, Teh Tarik, Nuttela, Coconut Swirl.. and many more..

hmm.. not too bad of a place for desserts..
i would like to go there again someday.. who wanna go?
haha.. oh btw.. the gal who served us over there is damn hot!! ahaha
she was from SP too!

it will be displaying Frankie's artworks.. charcoal and carbon on paper/canvas..
he is an ex-convict who is diagnosed with 3rd stage colon cancer..
through this exhibition Forth Gallery and i wish to help get support for Frankie as during the 23years in jail, he has no income, when he was released, he has no family to support him, with his current help condition, we hope to do a little something to support him.
